Coetzee in Krakow
Book lovers from southern Poland met with JM Coetzee, the winner of the 2003 Nobel Prize for Literature. Coetzee was brought to Krakow by Znak publishing house.
Coetzee is known for making very few public appearances and not giving any interviews. He doesn’t answer his readers’ questions and hardly ever signs the copies of his books. Thus, one needs to congratulate "ZNAK" publishing house for bringing Coetzee to Krakow and persuading him to meet his Polish readers.
In the last few years Znak has published most of Coetzee’s works.
The lecture was delivered at the Jagiellonian University and the writer was reading part of his latest novel "Slow Man"...
