19th International Street Theatre Festival
The International Festival of Street Theatre in Krakow has a well-established tradition as it is one of the oldest events of this type organized annually in Central Europe. Performances take place at the largest old town market square. During the forthcoming 19th edition of the Festival, you will see theatre groups which are famous for their improvisation skills as well as original and provoking style.
The 19th International Street Theatre Festival will be held in Krakow from July 13 to 16, 2006. Scheduled to appear is over 20 performances. Great artistic and professional level is the mark of invited theatres. Outdoor shows presented through out the entire day gain a unique perspective. For a few days streets of Krakow - fulfilled with the street theatre - become a melting pot, where tradition is blended with the modern trends of current theatre.
The New Orleans Parade and the jazz concert at the heart of old town will be the closing event.
There is anticipated that all events of the 19th International Street Theatre Festival will be seen by ca. 120,000 viewers.
